Naomi is a bit of something special. Here at RMR we have came to expect the odd, no matter if that means a good or bad thing. In this case it's a good thing. Naomi is an IDENTICAL twin! While twins happen in cattle it is rare, .5-7% chance, depending on breed. The odds of identical twins is less than .3%! In 50% of twin births the result is a calf of each sex. In this result 90-99% of the time the heifer is a freemartin, which means she is born without the female reproductive organs. In the remaining 50% of twin cases the odds of both males is a higher outcome than that of both females, which is a 23-26% chance.
